Introduction
I have been associated with Craig Keeland and Youngevity as a Scientific Advisor now for over ten years. The most satisfactory aspect of our association has been to observe the steady and continuous growth of Youngevity over the years. I believe this growth is based importantly on Craig Keeland’s leadership and dedication to produce and market only the best available products that are at the cutting edge of the field of Anti-Aging Science.
So when Craig was informed that it is possible to once again upgrade our Anti-Aging supplements it was in this spirit that he gave his full support to create this new product. In working with our other advisors we formulated what is now called the “Anti-Aging Daily Premium Pak.”
The key objective was to provide the broadest base possible for promoting optimum health and longevity by increasing the Anti-Aging effectiveness of several of our existing products by taking advantage of new scientific evidence related to the synergistic effects of specific groups of antioxidants, essential fatty acids (EFA) and trace minerals.
This was achieved by adding two completely new products called the Super Anti-Oxidant Complex and the EFA Complex & CoQ10 to four of our existing products; Daily Premium Multiple, the Super Cell Protector, Concentrated Fruits & Vegetables and the Bone Building Formula.
This is how the integration of these six products into one Super Anti-Aging product works. The Anti-Aging effects can be separated into three general classes. The first is the reduction in the intensity of age-related disease that is already present in an individual. The second is the reduction in the risk of major age related diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and cancer. The third is however, the most exciting and is the actual reversal of the effects of the aging process itself to more youth like levels. This is called rejuvenation and until recently was thought to be impossible.
Highlights of the rational of the basic design of this product are as follows:
| 1) | Class
one…… the reduction in the intensity of age related
diseases already substantially present in an individual. All
six products help in this regard with the general effect of
decreasing an individuals oxidative stress status. However,
the most important include the Daily Premium Multiple, Super
Cell Protector, Concentrated Fruits & Vegetables and
the Bone Building Formula.
In particular we take advantage of the new evidence showing
the synergist actions of the B6, B12 and Folic Acid group.
This group acts to reduce oxidative damage and increase rate
of DNA repair. The presence of the high concentrations of the
phenolic antioxidants compounds in the grape seed extract also
act to further reduce the intensity of other age-related diseases
such as heart disease and diabetes. |

| 2) | Class
two…..the reduction in risk of major age-related diseases.
This goal is achieved through a major increase in antioxidant
protection through an increase in the Carotinoids (lycopene),
beta carotene (vitamin A), Ascorbate, Lipoic Acid, and the
isoflavenoids, the phenoic antioxidants (grape seed extract),
and the three key trace antioxidant minerals selenium, zinc
and chromium. The major effect of this group of antioxidants
is a decrease in long-term low-grade inflammation disorders,
which is now thought to be the major cause of heart disease,
neurodegeneration diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s
disease, and cancer. It is in this class of prevention that
I believe the Anti-Aging is present in
all the products play a key role in general health maintenance. |

| 3) | Class three.... Reversal or rejuvenation of the effects of aging. This is achieved by two synergistic groups of compounds now present in the formula. The first is a reversal of the general age related decrease in function that occurs in the mitochondria that are the major energy producers in our body. This reversal is achieved by the synergistic action of Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Lipoic Acid and CoQ10. All three of these ingredients have been substantially increased in this new formula. The
second is the reversal of the age-related decrease in cellular
membrane fluidity. The age-related decrease in cellular
membrane fluidity results in a broad range of functional
disorders throughout the body, including decrease in the
immune function, memory loss, and kidney dysfunctions.
The reversal
of this process is achieved through a proper increase in
diet of the omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids (EFA).
However, EFAs are easily oxidized but this does not occur
in our formula because of the present of high concentrations
of lipid soluble antioxidants such as Vitamin E. |

| 4) | Finally
in creating this product we had some eight capsules that needed
to be taken at least once per day. So there was the problem
of taking the right number of each capsule and the general
compliance of simply taking the right proportions of each capsule.
These problems were eliminated by simply placing all eight
capsules needed for one meal in one single pak. On average
I have recommended taking one pak after each meal. This is
what I do, and although I may sometimes forget to take a pak,
I always take all the capsules in each pak to maintain proper
balance and synergistic actions in the ingredients. |
